Sure, we realize many patrons might not have heard about our upcoming musical Striking 12. In fact, playbill.com called it the “best new musical that nobody has heard of”. That being said, it’s destined to be well known. It rocks!
So, to help shed some light on why everyone at TCTA is so crazy about the show, here is a link where you can go check out more info about it! You can even hear music from the show and watch video footage of the New York production.

Check out how cool it is, then pick up the phone and call the box office to make your reservations soon!

Now that the cinnamon burn from glueing 110 pieces of Big Red gum to the floor of our project is out of my nose enough to write, I have to give a HUGE thank you to all the people who made our adorable Gingerbread Home to be displayed at TPAC for Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays happening this weekend. It’s been far, far too long since my last post . . . sorry. But I have been meaning to return with a very important message. You see, as the autumn leaves fall, a change of the season isn’t the only change people are seeing around TCT. And a change as big as what we’re going through needs not only explanation, but support! Marketing at a theatre is fun. Of course, I guess you could imagine that. What I find the most fun is finding new opportunities to reach our ever changing audiences. It’s interesting creating marketing for TCTA, because I’m really not just trying to put “butts in seats”, I’m trying to find great ways to communicate within our family. Read the rest of this entry »

If you haven’t yet seen Space Pandas, you are really missing out on a hilarious show. The kids do a great job! Just the way this culture greets each other is enough to have you roaring! Kudos to Kate for the costumes and Adam for the set as well.

I recently received an e-mail asking a question that I’ve heard repeated for as long as I can remember. It’s usually phrased along the lines of; “When life is so complicated and people see enough bad news on television why does TCT do dramas? I mean, I go to the theatre to get away from it all. Besides; don’t the comedies sell better, anyway?” (It’s often phrased differently but the sentiment is the same.) So, why do we do what we do? Read the rest of this entry »

Greetings once again from TCT. Once again I apologize forthe long delay in returning to my blog, but life sure gets busy around here. This time I wish to dedicate my energy to answering a few common asked questions about one of my favorite aspects of my work at TCT; our improvisational comedy company, Laughing Matters.
So welcome to everything you’ve always wanted to know about Laughing Matters but were afraid to ask; (possible due to a fear of infection!) Read the rest of this entry »
